Rail

Horsforth railway station is located on the line between Harrogate and Leeds, on the Cookridge side of Moseley Beck in the north of Horsforth. There are two platforms at Horsforth station; Platform 1 for trains to Leeds and Platform 2 for trains to Harrogate.

Trains run very frequently in both directions. During communiting times they are roughly every 15 minutes, throughout the day at 30 minute intervals and in the evenings every hour. Find live train times from Horsforth train station here.

There is a ticket office at Horsforth train station which is open Monday-Saturday 06:10-19:00 and Sunday 09:15-16:30. Out of hours there are also ticket machines available on both platforms.

Originally there was also a second train station in Horsforth called Newlay station, later renamed Newlay & Horsforth station. This station was located in the south of Horsforth. This second station closed on 22nd March 1965.

Air

The nearest airport to Horsforth is Leeds-Bradford International Airport, located in Yeadon just 3 miles (8 minute drive) away. Horsforth is in the flight path for incoming flights to Leeds-Bradford airport and aircraft fly directly overhead in the north of the town.
